Shri Peter Watre Ingty, retired from Government of Meghalaya as Additional Chief Secretary to Government of Meghalaya in May 2019. Shri P.W.Ingty obtained his Master Degree in Agronomy, from Indian Agriculture Research Institute (IARI), Pusa, Delhi in 1984. He started his career in the Indian Administrative Service, in the year 1986 and initial posting was as SDO (Civil), Sohra. He served in various capacities in Government of Meghalaya in the departments of Home and Political, Revenue & Disaster Management, Power, Health & Family Welfare, Commerce & Industries, Forest & Environment, Food Civil Supplies & Consumer Affairs, Public Health Engineering, Excise Registration Taxation & Stamps, General Administration Department, Social Welfare, Housing, Community & Rural Development, District Council Affairs, Border Areas Development, Transport. He has more than 33 years of experience in the field of Public Administration and Governance as a distinguished member of Indian Administrative Service. He has joined as Chairman, Meghalaya State Electricity Regulatory Commission with effect from 25th September 2019.
